Day 01 Arrive at Paro – Thimphu
Arrive in the morning at Paro and go sightseeing – National museum and Paro Rinpong Dzong. Lunch at town. In the evening drive one hour to Thimphu, the capitial of Bhutan. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Thimphu sightseeing
In the morning visit Memorial Chorten ( a huge stupa ) and the Changangkha monastery built in 12 century. Also visit the Takin zoo, view point of Thimphu valley, Nunnery monastery and lunch at a local restaurant .
After lunch, visit the arts and crafts school, Post office and archery ground. In the evening visit the Tashichho Dzong & Buddha point. Overnight at the hotel
Day 03 Thimphu – Punakha/ Wangdi
Take a morning drive to Dochula pass (3,100m), which offers a spectacular view of the 108 stupa or chortens. From the pass have a panoramic view of the eastern Himalayan peaks over 6000m to 7554m snowcapped Mountains. Have lunch in the village, and hike to Chimey Lhakhang. Visit Punakha Dzong. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04-Punakha/ Wangdi – Paro
Take a 4 hours drive to Paro and lunch on the way. After lunch, stroll through town and Kyichu Monastery, the oldest in Paro valley, built in 659 A.D. Visit the Drugyel Dzong, located 16 Km. away from the Paro town and local farmhouse. Overnight stay at the hotel
Day 05 – Paro – Taktsang monastery hike
After breakfast drive half an hour and start the hike to Taktsang. It takes about 5 hours round trip. The famous Tiger’s nest, the Taksang Monastery, is perched some 1000m/3,000ft up on a cliff overlooking the valley. Overnight at the hotel
Day 06-Paro – Delhi/Bangkok/ Katmandu
After breakfast drive to Paro international Airport and fly out.
